Legacy of Temptation is a spin-off urban fantasy romance set in a world where supernatural beings like demons, vampires, and angels are openly known to humanity. The story centers on Eva Tennant, an ambitious spokesperson for the demon-hunting organization Aegis, and Logan, son of the Horseman Death, who works for the rival Demon Activity Response Team (DART). Their reluctant partnership and slow-burn romance unfold as they face murder, betrayal, and the threat of an old enemy.

The book features creative world-building, action, and a classic enemies-to-lovers trope. The plot is fast-paced and introduces complex moral shades among angels and demons, but I thought there were too many characters and the story lacked emotional. As far as the romance between Eva and Logan, it was OK, but I didn’t feel a real connection. This is the first book in a new series, but the story incorporates a lot of history and characters from the previous series without much backstory, so as a reader who did not read the previous books, I felt a little lost and it may be why I had such a hard time getting immersed in this book.
