This is an amazing blend of fact and fiction, that will hold you in thrall until the very last page. Based on the struggle of Robert the Bruce to claim his crown and his relationship with second wife Elizabeth de Burgh.

This is a beautifully written tale filled with intrigue, betrayals, secrets, lies, desire and love. I wasn’t sure I wanted to read this story, too many times fictional recreations of historical figures fall short in my expectations, but after reading this rendition, I can honestly say that this is story that you definitely don’t want to miss.
