Miss Serena Forcot and Lord Julian Montague have been friends for as long as they can remember and for most of that time, Julian has been in love with her, something Serena seems completely oblivious to. Now that Julian has been elected into the House of Commons and is becoming noticed in Parliament, the Prime Minister, Lord Grenville has taken notice of him and hinted that he should marry. But there is only one woman who he would even consider and she has no idea he loves her. How can he get Serena to see him as a man and not just her friend? Desperate for help, he asks his sister, Lady Courtney for advice and soon has Serena’s complete attention.

It seems like things are finally going in the right direction, but a matchmaking Prime Minister and Serena’s impulsive nature may ruin their HEA before it even starts unless she can find a way to make things right and save the only man she will ever love.

What a fun introduction to a new series! Ms. Evans not only introduces the reader to all the members of the Sisterhood of Scandal, but she also manages to write a very delightful and fleshed-out romance that never feels rushed or lost in the setup of the series. This story has a lot of emotion, a bit of heartache, jealousy, betrayal, friends who save the day, steamyish love scenes, forgiveness, sacrifice, new beginnings, and a sweet HEA. This novella was a great start to a new series and I am happy to recommend it.
